In America, we are about to experience the most sweeping, restrictive gun control legislation ever enacted since the second amendment was written. So, where do we draw the line? When do we stand up and boldly proclaim: “Enough is Enough?”
Since the first inauguration of Obama in 2009, the average American citizen has witnessed an onslaught of restrictions to their freedoms emanating from the Office of the Executive. There has been the debt incurred through the “Quantitative Easing” Programs, the restrictions to our freedom of speech on the internet and the violations to our freedom of religion through the recent health care provisions, placed on employers and the Judeo-Christian Church. These are just the proverbial.. “tips of the iceberg.”
Obama has utilized his executive pen to sign numerous executive orders that will have major implications on the generations to follow, long after he is out of office and is a mere stain on American History. If he follows through on his current agenda of disarming the American citizen as he has progressed in his past endeavors, we can expect the worst. When the dust settles, the second amendment may only possess a few fibers of the original authors intent.
What many Americans fail to understand today is the sad truth that, the bell that Obama is about to ring cannot and will not be “un-rung.” The diminishing Constitutional rights of the American citizen will never be returned, regardless of what leader or which political party comes into power in the future. Legislation that is put into effect, whether by congressional approval or executive order is almost impossible to overturn or roll back. The rights we are giving away today are rights that we are stealing from our children’s future.
Will we be discussing in two years the legislation that disallows the ownership of personal property? Perhaps we will be debating the locations of the concentration camps for America’s Jewish and Judeo-Christian dissenters. Yes, there may be a few who refuse to bow down to allah and submit to muhammad and for them there will be no place in America’s future. Well, maybe a place in a shower or oven but, no place in this shadow of a once great republic.
So, where do we draw the line? At what right will you be willing to pick up your arms, before the government picks them up? At which fundamental right that was paid for in our grandfather’s blood do we finally unite together and stand up and boldly proclaim: ”Enough is Enough?”
