More than 100 supporters of the English Defence League last night gathered near the scene of where a soldier was hacked to death by Islamic fanatics and threw bottles at police.
Officers formed a cordon and the men left the immediate area after the brief incident. Some of the EDL supporters gathered at The Queen’s Arms pub locally, where they sang nationalistic songs.
One local Muslim said that a brick had been thrown through a mosque during the march.
Giving his name only as Abdul, he said: ‘I’m not happy about it. It’s a place of worship – a place of God. They have got Islam all wrong. The people who did this are nothing to do with the real Islam.’
Elsewhere, two men were arrested after separate attacks on mosques following yesterday’s killing.
A 43-year-old man was in custody on suspicion of attempted arson after reportedly walking into a mosque with a knife in Braintree, Essex.

Local MP Brooks Newmark tweeted last night : ‘Local mosque in Braintree attacked by man with knives and incendiary device. Man arrested. No one injured.’
Mr Newmark added: ‘Just met with leaders of local mosque in Braintree which was attacked this evening. Thanked local police for their swift response.’
Essex Police confirmed a 43-year-old from Braintree had been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and attempted arson after the incident on Silks Way at 7:15pm.
The secretary of the mosque in Braintree, Sikander Saleemy, reportedly told Channel 4 News that he felt like it was a ‘revenge attack’.
EDL leader Tommy Robinson, speaks to the media in Woolwich
Mr Saleemy said: ‘The police said it’s too early to try and link it to what happened in Woolwich, but those of us who were here feel that it was some sort of revenge attack. It was clear from the man’s behaviour. We absolutely condemn what happened in Woolwich, but it had nothing to do with us.
‘It was an appalling act of terror – but it wasn’t “Islamic” in any way. I wish it wasn’t described like that, because sadly people will now start to blame Muslims.’

Meanwhile police in Kent were called to reports of criminal damage at a mosque in Gillingham at 8.40pm. A man was taken in custody on suspicion of racially-aggravated criminal damage.
The EDL men had first gathered at Woolwich Arsenal station in Woolwich, south-east London. Riot police with shields stood guard outside for a short time, before moving back into their vans.
The EDL group waved a flag of St George and chanted ‘no surrender to the Muslim scum’. Around 20 of the men wore black balaclavas with an EDL logo on the front.
Leader Tommy Robinson addressed the crowd, saying: ‘We have got weak leadership. They have allowed this to happen. People are scared to say the word Muslim. They are scared to offend them.

The crowd, chanting ‘Rule Britannia’ and ‘EDL’, as well as ‘England’, marched to the cordon where the killing took place. Others chanted ‘No surrender to Al Qaeda’.
A statement by the EDL said: ‘The terrible events in Woolwich were a reminder of something very few are willing to accept. We are at war.’
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said he was not aware of any arrests following the protest last night. The march had been dispersed by 11pm.

Turkey to Build a $100 Million Mega-Mosque on 15-Acres in Lanham, Maryland
By Ryan Mauro
The Islamist government of Turkey is building a 15-acre, $100 million mega-mosque in Lanham, Maryland. Prime Minister Erdogan visited the site on May 15 in a ceremony that was attended by the leaders of two groups linked to the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood.
The state of Maryland was officially represented at the event by its Secretary of State John McDonough.
The mega-mosque is called the Turkish American Culture and Civilization Center and, according to the Muslim Link, it “will likely become the largest and most striking examples of Islamic architecture in the western hemisphere” when it is finished in 2014. The Muslim Link explicitly says it is “a project of the government of Turkey.”
On May 15, Prime Minister Erdogan spoke to hundreds of people at the construction site and said he’d come back for the opening ceremony next year. He warned the audience that there are groups promoting “Islamophobia,” branding potential critics as paranoid bigots. Erdogan recently said that “Islamophobia” and Zionism are equivalent to fascism and anti-Semitism, saying they are a “crime against humanity.”
On this trip to the U.S., Erdogan brought the father of one of the Islamists killed while on a Turkish flotilla which was trying to break Israel’s weapons blockade on Gaza. Gaza is controlled by Hamas, which is a designated terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department. Erdogan reportedly wanted to him to meet President Obama. (In the end, the father met with Secretary of State John Kerry.)
The new center will have five buildings, including a mosque “constructed using 16th century Ottoman architecture that can hold 750 worshipers.”
The event was also attended by the leaders of two U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entities.
The first, Naeem Baig, is the president of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA). A 1991 U.S. Muslim Brotherhood memo lists ICNA as one of “our organizations and the organizations of our friends.” The memo says its “work in America is “a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.” The memo even refers to meetings with ICNA where there was talk about a merger.
ICNA is also linked to the Pakistani Islamist group Jamaat-e-Islami and its conferences feature radical speakers. A former ICNA president was recently indicted for horrific war crimes committed during Bangladesh’s 1971 succession from Pakistan – the torture and murder or 18 political opponents.
The second official from a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity that attended the event was Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). ISNA and several of its components are listed as U.S. Muslim Brotherhood fronts in the same 1991 Brotherhood memo. ISNA was also an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case, dubbed the largest Islamic terror-funding trial in the history of the U.S. Federal prosecutors in the case also listed ISNA as a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity.
The Turkish government has been quietly spreading its influence in the U.S., but Erdogan’s public invovlement in the building of this center takes Turkey’s “outreach” in America out of the realm of the subtle.
The Clarion Project recently reported on the growing ties between the Turkish government and Native American tribes. With Congress’ help, thousands of Turkish contractors and their families may be flooding into America’s heartland and settling in semi-autonomous zones of the Native Americans, well out of the reach of American authorities.
The Clarion Project also reported on the Turkish Fethullah Gulen school network in America, which is currently under FBI investigation. The network is the largest charter school network in America. It is the same network that has been a critical component in Turkey’s on-going transformation from a secular democracy into an Islamic state.
Erdogan and his Islamist government calls Hamas a “resistance” group, despite the fact that Hamas specifically targets Israeli civilians with suicide bombings and rocket attacks. Not surprisingly, Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal is a big admirer of Erdogan.
Since taking office in 2003, Erdogan has been implementing his Islamist agenda, slowly but steadily changing Turkey from a secular democracy to an Islamist state: College admissions have been changed to favor religious students, the military has been gutted of its secular generals (with one in five generals currently in prison on dubious charges) and women have been routed out of top government jobs. Honor killings in Turkey increased 1,400 percent between 2002 and 2009. Persecution of artists and journalists has become commonplace as opponents are charged with “crimes” like “denigrating Islam” and “denigrading the state.”
The Turkish American Culture and Civilization Center will be the largest Islamic site in the Western Hemisphere. The fact that it is being built by the government of Turkey represents the next step in Erdogan’s desire to increase the Islamist influence in America.

Umar Lee, a convert to Islam from St. Louis, was once enough of an Islamic supremacist to write to a rival: “I could cut your neck with the sword of islam and watch you squeal like a bitch like daniel pearl.” In an email exchange with me, he endorsed the death penalty for apostasy.
But now he has left Islam and returned to Christianity. Watch the video; in it he makes many, many important points about how converts to Islam are lied to, and how Islam establishes an empire of fear.
Note especially this, starting at 4:04:
“We can talk about the grievance industry, CAIR, etc., trying to hype up the threat of Islamophobia. Islamophobia is very minor. You want to talk about religious bias? You convert to Christianity in Saudi Arabia, you’re murdered. You convert from Islam in so many Muslim countries, it’s the death penalty. Why are Muslim societies so afraid of missionaries? Why are Muslim societies so afraid of freedom of speech? Why are Muslim societies so afraid of the Gospel? Why are Muslim societies so afraid of the message of Jesus Christ? If you believe Islam is the truth, why don’t you believe Islam can compete in the marketplace of ideas? Obviously you don’t, or you wouldn’t kill people that convert to Christianity and put missionaries in jail.”
Clearly they don’t believe Islam can compete in the marketplace of ideas. Just yesterday I offered to debate UC-Berkeley’s professor of “Islamophobia,” Hatem Bazian. He responded: “Racist are not to be debated they are to be shunned.” (Yes, this university professor wrote “racist are.” He didn’t explain what race jihad terror is. They never do. This “racism” business is just a cover for what Umar Lee says: their knowledge of and fear of the fact that they know their ideas can’t compete, or hold up to scrutiny.
editorial footnote: We are requesting that all of our readers please take one moment to visit Umar’s Facebook page and send him a message of support and love or send him a tweet at his address below. He is a very brave man that has possibly even put his life on the line to become Islam’s latest apostate. I have sent him a friend request on facebook and I encourage you to do the same. Thank you.
Federal Judge Issues Ruling: “Suppression of Christian Speech Allowed..”
A federal judge has issued a startling ruling that suppressing Christian speech is allowed when Muslims threaten violence because they’re upset over the message.
The ruling from Judge Patrick J. Duggan in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan granted Wayne County’s motion for summary judgment of a lawsuit brought by a team of Christians who were badgered, bullied and targeted with garbage thrown by Muslims who disliked their message at last year’s Arab Fest in Dearborn, Mich.
Officials with American Freedom Law Center, who have been arguing the case on behalf of the Christians, also said the judge denied AFLC’s motion requesting that the court issue an order preventing the Wayne County Sheriff and his deputies from restricting the Christian evangelists from displaying their banners and signs on the public sidewalks outside of this year’s Arab Festival.
It is scheduled for June.
In his ruling, Duggan said, “The court finds that the actual demonstration of violence here provided the requisite justification for [the Wayne County sheriffs'] intervention, even if the officials acted as they did because of the effect the speech had on the crowd.”
The case had been filed by the AFLC after several Christian evangelists were violently assaulted by a hostile Muslim mob while preaching at the festival last year in Dearborn, which has the largest concentration of Muslims in the United States.
The lawsuit, which will be appealed to a higher court, alleged the county, sheriff and deputies refused to protect the Christians from the attack, and they threatened to arrest the Christians for disorderly conduct if they did not halt their speech activity and immediately leave the festival area.
Robert Muise, AFLC co-founder and senior counsel, said, “The First Amendment was dealt a severe blow today as a result of this ruling. Indeed, this ruling effectively empowers Muslims to silence Christian speech that they deem offensive by engaging in violence. And pursuant to this ruling, the Christian speakers are now subject to arrest for engaging in disorderly conduct on account of the Muslim hecklers’ violent response to their speech. In short, this ruling turns the First Amendment on its head.”
David Yerushalmi, AFLC co-founder and senior counsel, added: “This fight for our fundamental right to freedom of speech does not stop here. We have filed an immediate appeal of this ruling to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. While Judge Duggan may have been the first judge to rule on this issue, he won’t be the last. Indeed, we are prepared to take this case to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary because it is imperative that our free speech rights not be subject to mob rule. This is the United States, not Benghazi.”
The violence developed at the 2012 events when Christian evangelists walking on public sidewalks surrounding the event while carrying signs with biblical messages were assaulted with stones, bottles and debris by attendees of the festival.
The signs that brought on the attack included “Know the God of the Bible” and “Trust Jesus.”
Several of the Christian demonstrators walked away bruised and bloodied from the attack. Ruben Israel, the leader of the group, pleaded with law enforcement officials to intervene so that the demonstration could continue peacefully.
However, the officer refused and demanded the Christians leave the premises or face arrest for disorderly conduct.
Shortly after, Israel contacted AFLC, which filed a federal lawsuit against Wayne County and several officials from the Wayne County sheriff’s office. AFLC charged that the officers failed to uphold their constitutional duty to protect the Christians.
A video has been released of the 2012 confrontation that explains authorities not only failed to protect the Christians, they ordered them to leave the Arab festival under threat of arrest for “disorderly conduct.”
However, not one Muslim was arrested for the attack, which left several members of the Christian group injured, the video says.
The video, and a related complaint, showed the crowd – reminiscent of a rock-throwing “intifada” scene from the Middle East – hurling a dizzying barrage of objects at the Christians, who were standing passively with their signs.
WND later learned that the Christian crowd had been carrying a pole with a pig’s head attached to the top, further angering the Muslim crowd. At the beginning of the video, Christian street preachers shout, “God is good, and God is not Allah!”
A the 2:17 mark of the video, the mob can be heard screaming: “You want to jump ‘em? C’mon, let’s go!”
One boy yells, “Let’s beat the sh-t out of them!”
A girl shouts, “Go home! Do you understand English?!”
Despite the attacks the Christians endured, a man identified in the video as Deputy Chief Dennis Richardson of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office tells them, “You’re a danger to the safety right now.”
Officers claim they don’t have the manpower to protect the Christians at the festival.
“Your safety is in harm’s way. You need to protect everybody,” said Deputy Chief Mike Jaafar of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. “You do have the option to leave. I just want to make that clear.”
Israel replied, “You have the option to stand with us” as Jaafar walked away, leaving the Christians to the mob.
When police leave, the crowd continues harassing the Christians and screaming profanities.
Then police begin escorting the Christians away from the crowd.
Richardson tells Israel: “We have the responsibility of policing the entire festival, and obviously your conduct is such that it’s causing a disturbance and is a direct threat to the safety of everyone here. Someone could get hurt. You already have blood on your face. One of the festival people, one of my officers, anybody can get hurt. Now we’re going to escort you out.”
Israel explains that the mob throws things and becomes more aggressive when police leave the scene.
“Part of the reason that they throw things on someone is because you tell them stuff that enrages them,” Richardson argues.
AFLC said the Christians were wearing shirts with Scripture quotes and Christian messages.
Alicia Gali was savagely raped in the United Arab Emirates, then charged with having illicit sex outside marriage and thrown in jail for eight months.
Reporter: Ross Coulthart
Producer: Ali Russell
With Dubai emerging as a major stopover point for long haul journeys, five hundred flights a month will deliver over one million of us to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the next year.
Dubai is being promoted as a luxury high-class paradise in the desert, but the reality is brutally different, as Australian Alicia Gali discovered. Gali took a job in the UAE with one of the world’s biggest hotel chains, Starwood. What happened next makes this story a must-watch for every Australian planning on travelling through the region.
Gali was using her laptop in the hotel’s staff bar when her drink was spiked. She awoke to a nightmare beyond belief: she had been savagely raped by three of her colleagues. Alone and frightened, she took herself to hospital. What Alicia didn’t know is that under the UAE’s strict sharia laws, if the perpetrator does not confess, a rape cannot be convicted without four adult Muslim male witnesses. She was charged with having illicit sex outside marriage, and thrown in a filthy jail cell for eight months.
Now, finally home and struggling to move on with her life, Alicia breaks her silence for the first time on television to reporter Ross Coulthart.
Alicia Shares Her Story Here:
Abandoned in Dubai: Part I
Abandoned in Dubai: Part II
The Australian Television Program, “Sunday Night” emailed Alicia’s employer in the UAE, Starwood Hotels, with a detailed list of questions pertaining to her case. This was their response:
“What happened in June 2008 to Alicia Gali, a former employee of Le Méridien Al Aqah hotel, was deplorable. While the hotel worked diligently on Ms. Gali’s behalf, the authorities investigated and prosecuted Ms. Gali under the local laws. Additionally, the men involved were also prosecuted and each served prison terms before being deported. As for Ms. Gali’s lawsuit against the hotel, we disagree with the allegations.
The hotel management provided support and assistance to Ms. Gali and her family throughout that time,
including assisting with medical support and the investigation, liaising with her representative Australian embassy and coordinating and arranging affairs with her family in Australia.
Starwood’s repeated approaches to discuss Ms. Gali’s claim with her attorneys have been ignored and declined. As this matter is part of an open on-going Starwood investigation and litigation commenced by Ms. Gali against Starwood and the Commonwealth of Australia, we cannot comment further at this time.
The safety and security of our associates and guests continues to be a paramount priority.”
We also contacted the Australian government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) with a detailed list of questions regarding Alicia’s case. This was their response:
“The Department rejects Ms Gali’s account of her dealings with the Australian Consulate in Dubai, as suggested in your letter of 7 May 2013. Ms Gali was provided with extensive consular assistance by the Australian Consulate in Dubai. Our consular officers do not give legal advice, but do assist Australians in trouble to obtain local legal advice.
As this matter is subject to ongoing legal proceedings, the Department is unable to respond to the questions raised in your letter or participate in the Sunday Night program. The Department will present its position as necessary during the course of the legal proceedings.”

After more than a week, including his 33rd birthday, spent in the “small dark hole” of solitary confinement, American Pastor Saeed Abedini has once again been returned to the main prison population in Ward 350 of Evin Prison.
Our sources in Iran have confirmed that Iranian authorities returned Pastor Saeed to his cell in Ward 350 yesterday.
This is a critical development and does raise hope after a very discouraging week. It was believed that Pastor Saeed may have faced 20 days or more in solitary confinement. Pastor Saeed described the first time he spent in solitary confinement, some 200 days ago when he was first imprisoned for his Christian faith, as some of the worst days he has ever faced. Days felt like years he said.
The severity of his medical condition remains a concern as he began complaining of symptoms of kidney issues before he was placed in solitary confinement.
Pastor Saeed, a U.S. citizen, had been confined to solitary since April 29th along with nine other prisoners in a retaliatory response to fellow prisoners’ protest of Iran’s lack of medical care for Pastor Saeed and others.
It is unknown how many of the 10 prisoners that were placed in solitary confinement have been returned to the political prisoner ward of Evin.
We are hopeful that Pastor Saeed’s early return to the general population of Ward 350 is a sign that international pressure on Iran is beginning to have an effect.
Pastor Saeed’s wife, Naghmeh, responded:
His release from solitary is a direct result of the multitudes praying. I am relieved my husband is out of solitary, but still am deeply concerned about Saeed’s health. While this is a small victory, I am still demanding justice be done and that Saeed be released.
More than 575,000 people from all across the world have signed a petition for his release. International media, world leaders, and governments including the European Union and United Nations have raised his case. Now, over 50,000 people have written him letters at SaveSaeed.org.
All of this has led to unparalleled pressure on the Iranian regime. The more pressure is placed on Iran – the more Iran is put on notice that the world is watching its unconscionable human rights abuses – the regime is forced to take action.
We will keep you updated with new information as we are able.
2009 photo of Hysen Sherifi after his arrest in a terror plot
Raleigh, North Carolina: A North Carolina man was sentenced Friday to four life terms for plotting to behead federal witnesses whose testimony helped convict him for his role in an earlier plot to slaughter U.S. servicemen and their families.
Hysen Sherifi, 29, was one of six Raleigh-area Muslims convicted in 2011 of planning to attack the Marine base in Quantico, Va., and overseas targets.
Shortly after starting his 45-year prison sentence in the terror case, Sherifi approached another inmate to help him hire a hit man to behead government informants and FBI agents. He recruited his younger brother Shkumbin Sherifi, 23, and former special education teacher Nevine Aly Elshiekh, 48, to help pay the hit man and organize the murders.
But the inmate whose help Sherifi sought turned out to be yet another government informant. FBI agents then staged an elaborate sting that involved secretly videotaped meetings with a woman posing as the go-between for a fictional hit man named Treetop and doctored photos that appeared to show the corpse of a beheaded witness in a shallow grave.
Federal prosecutors recommended leniency for the two coconspirators, who pleaded guilty last year and agreed to testify at the elder Sherifi’s trial on nine felony counts.
Citing their extensive cooperation, U.S. District Senior Judge Earl Britt sentenced the younger Sherifi to 3 years in prison, while Elshiekh got 3 1/2 years. They had faced as much as 10 years each.
Before Hysen Sherifi was sentenced, he lectured the judge about Islamic teachings.
“The Koran is the truth that invalidates all other religions,” said Sherifi, who declined a court-appointed lawyer and represented himself at trial. “If you do not submit, he will severely judge you, and on the day of judgment you will enter hellfire.”
“That it?” asked Britt, who has served more than three decades on the federal bench. The judge then tacked the four life sentences onto the end of Sherifi’s earlier 45-year prison term, along with another 50 years on top of that.
Hysen’s friend Nevine Elshiekh, left and brother Shkumbin Sherifi, right
“There can be no doubt Mr. Sherifi, the defendant in this case, meets the definition of a terrorist,” Britt said. “He was the genesis of this conspiracy. He was the mastermind, though I’m hesitant to use that term because it affords him more credit than he is due.”
Noting that the defendant was unsuccessful in killing anyone, Britt said Sherifi’s worst transgression was destroying the lives of his little brother Shkumbin and Elshiekh, with whom he had carried on a romantic dalliance from behind bars.
Elshiekh, a U.S. citizen whose parents emigrated from Egypt, was a respected teacher of special-needs children who was also active as a youth leader at her Raleigh mosque.
According to court testimony, she had just undergone a painful divorce from a cheating husband when she began attending Sherifi’s 2011 terrorism trial. She later began visiting him regularly in jail.
Dr. Emily Keram, a forensic psychiatrist hired by the defense, testified that Elshiekh was molested as a child by an uncle in Egypt and then trapped in an arranged marriage to a “con man” who later abandoned her to marry another woman.
Elshiekh was prescribed several psychiatric drugs that impaired her ability to reason and made her pliable to the will of others, the psychiatrist said.
At Hysen Sherifi’s direction, Elshiekh gave a collection of gold jewelry given to her by her ex-husband to the younger brother, who pawned the pieces to raise the $5,000 he believed was needed to hire the hit man to execute the first victim.
Elshiekh claimed she had no idea what the money was for until she followed her paramour’s direction to meet with a woman in a parked car. The woman, an informant for the FBI, showed Elshiekh a photo of one of the targeted witnesses and asked her to confirm that was the first man to be killed.
Though she then knew what the money was for, Elshiekh continued on with the plot for another 20 days until her arrest.
In her early court appearances, Elshiekh wore a headscarf and a black dress that fully covered her arms and legs. On Friday, her long hair trailed down her back and she wore western clothes.
In a tearful apology before the court on Friday, she accepted responsibility for what she had done.
“I wish I could turn back time, but I can’t do that,” she told the judge. “I never wanted anyone to get hurt.”
Wearing shackles and a black Chicago T-shirt, Shkumbin Sherifi declined to address the judge before sentencing.
The Sherifis are ethnic Albanians who fled Kosovo in 1999 during a brutal sectarian war with Serbs and ended up as refugees in Raleigh. Though Hysen gravitated toward a militant strain of Islam, his younger siblings acclimated more readily to life in America. Shkumbin went so far as to record an amateur rap album.
Among those testifying Friday was one of the government witnesses Hysen Sherifi wanted dead. Melvin Weeks was a U.S. Army soldier serving in Kosovo after the war when he met the older Sherifi, who was visiting his grandparents.
Weeks, a Muslim, said Sherifi praised Osama bin Laden and showed him jihadist videos that included a hostage being beheaded. Though an American bombing campaign had saved the ethnic Albanians from genocide just a few years earlier, Weeks said Sherifi called for holy war against the very nation that gave his family a new home.
“In my opinion, he is a devil manifested here on Earth, walking among us,” the former soldier said.

A noted specialist on Islamic law and ideology from the Center for Security Policy, who has been cited as an expert for the Pentagon, says a coalition of Islamists and Marxists is working to destroy the United States.
The comments come from Stephen Coughlin, a lecturer for leading Department of Defense institutions such as the Naval War College, Marine Corps HQ-Quantico and for the FBI. Coughlin is a retired major in the U.S. Army reserves and was assigned to USCENTCOM, with a military intelligence specialty.
His assignments included the Pentagon’s National Military Joint Intelligence Center, the National Security Council’s Interagency Perception Management Threat Panel and the intelligence staff of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, so he has the credentials required for such assessments.
He recently addressed the Northern Virginia Chapter of ACT! for America, where he quoted terrorist Carlos the Jackal, who said, “Only a coalition of Islamists and Marxists can destroy the United States.” Thus, Coughlin said, “If we’re going to get a grip on this, we have to know their narrative and understand it. We know that when the other side has language that’s locked into doctrine, we need to hold them to it.”
He said, too, that the “lone wolf” jihadists can inflict damage.
Tsarnaev reportedly sent a text message to his mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaev, saying he was “ready to die for Islam.” ABC News Radio reported that his surviving brother and fellow suspect told investigators both “were ready to die.” According to The Christian Post, “Dzhokhar Tsarnaev indicated that his older brother hated America and Christianity, especially for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
Al-Qaida is one of the Muslim Brotherhood’s many branches and it preaches that individual Muslims should act as lone jihadists, lone terrorists. Therefore, after the bombings in Boston, after the two Muslim Tsarnaev brothers were named as the primary suspects, Coughlin made an in-depth video on the Muslim Brotherhood’s narrative on this subject.
In it, he says, “A couple years ago, in June 2010, I was asked to brief a couple members of Congress about what this concept of the ‘lone wolf’ was. It’s the first time I brought the fact that what the FBI and DHS call ‘lone wolf’ is actually a formal part of jihad.”
In the video, Coughlin also highlights the cold calculation of al-Qaida’s leaders telling their followers who to murder and where to murder them.
And there are some surprising details. For example, he said al-Qaida urges against killing Jews in their synagogues. Coughlin believes that’s because it’s bad publicity that damages the Muslim Brotherhood’s deceptive “interfaith” dialogues with Christians and Jews.
He quotes an article from the al-Qaida magazine “Inspire,” which says: “The confrontation with America is fundamental, while the confrontation with Europe is secondary, aimed at making Europe lead the alliance by putting pressure on her.”
His presentation follows:
The U.S. government has known of the Muslim Brotherhood’s goal of defeating the U.S. since 2004, when federal investigators raided a terrorist’s home in Virginia and found “An Explanatory Memorandum: On the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America.”
That was written in 1991 by Mohamed Akram for the Muslim Brotherhood’s Shura Council.
The FBI’s discovery of the memo led to the 2008 federal trial entitled the United States of America v. Holy Land Foundation, through which the federal government shut down HLF for sending millions of dollars to the terrorist group HAMAS, the Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestinian branch.
In the memo, Akram addresses his fellow Muslim Brotherhood members with various titles, including the organization’s official name: the Islamic Movement, the Movement and Al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun in Arabic.
Akram wrote: “In order for Islam and its Movement to become ‘a part of the homeland’ in which it lives, ‘stable’ in its land, ‘rooted’ in the spirits and minds of its people, ‘enabled’ in the [life] of its society and [have] firmly-established ‘organizations’ on which the Islamic structure is built and with which the testimony of civilization is achieved, the Movement must plan and struggle to obtain ‘the keys’ and the tools of this process [to] carry out this grand mission as a ‘Civilization Jihadist’ responsibility which lies on the shoulders of Muslims and – on top of them – the Muslim Brotherhood in this country. …
“The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their [own] hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes…”
The 1991 memo lists 29 of the Muslim Brotherhood’s public organizations working to conquer the U.S. and North America. Subsequently, other front groups were established, such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
Coughlin pointed to Tariq Ramadan as a protégé of “Rules for Radicals” author Saul Alinsky. He is the grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder Sheikh Hassan Ahmed Abdel Rahman Muhammed al-Banna.
Among his many occupations, Ramadan is a professor at Oxford University, where he concentrates on “Islamic revival in the world and Muslims of the West.” He’s president of the European Muslim Network, and Ramadan is widely published and widely received as a charismatic speaker of English, French and Arabic.
Coughlin said Ramadan wasn’t allowed in the United States because he was on the terrorist watch list, but last July 27 he went to the Muslim Brotherhood’s Islamic Circle of North America fundraiser in Dallas, Texas, and said, “We should all be very careful not to be colonized by something which is coming from the consumerist society. It should be us with our understanding of Islam, colonizing positively the United States of America.”
“It’s very important to hear the Alinskyist narrative,” said Coughlin. “What do they do? How many times do you hear them talk about core values? Part of Alinskyism is to take core, hallowed terms, both in the sacred governmental space of our Constitution and religiously because they are just as virulent and powerful in the interfaith community. Take core ideas, use them but redefine them.”
Apart from Coughlin’s lectures, WND columnists have written about Alinsky developing the strategy of infiltrating government through “community organizers,” and the fact that some of his most successful students are former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and President Barack Hussein Obama.
WND also covers the Islamist infiltration of our government and school systems.
In the report, Lopez shows how the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated presidential administrations from Bill Clinton to Obama. For example, Bill and Hillary Clinton welcomed Muslim Brotherhood operatives, including Abdurahman Alamoudi, who was convicted during the Bush administration in 2004 for financing terrorism.
Lopez also reveals that Hillary Clinton’s longtime aide Huma Abedin, wife of the leftist philandering former Congressman Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., is rooted in the Muslim Brotherhood. Lopez further shows how Muslim Brotherhood officials infiltrated President George W. Bush’s administration, and how they influenced his speeches on Islam as a religion of peace, plus his policies.
Both Lopez and Coughlin point to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which is the Islamist version of the United Nations. Lopez says: “Another senior affiliate, Rashad Hussain, is the Obama administration’s envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Hussain’s background is replete with Muslim Brotherhood associations… In his official capacity, Hussain is responsible for providing advice on national security and Muslim outreach. He assisted in writing the president’s June 2009 Cairo speech, in which Obama announced a new approach to the Muslim world and essentially declared war on his host, then-President Hosni Mubarak, by publicly signaling his recognition of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood. Hussain also acts as point man for the Obama administration’s cooperation with the Istanbul Process, the OIC effort to criminalize internationally any criticism of Islam. The current administration’s weeks-long duplicity in the aftermath of the 11 September 2012 terror attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, when it repeatedly and mendaciously claimed that an internet video trailer sparked a protest there that got out of hand, appears to have been carefully scripted not just with the OIC but Muslim Brotherhood organizations in the U.S., as well.”
As one FBI official anonymously told WND, he saw the “scrub” of Muslim words from his agency’s lexicon take place in 2007.
The most obvious victory for the Islamist/Marxist coalition is Clinton’s and Obama’s reaction to the murders of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans by Islamists at the embassy in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012.
Months prior to the 9/11 anniversary, Stevens expected terrorism on that anniversary and he asked for help. Stevens alerted State Department officials when he was under attack but no military assistance was sent.
After the murders in Libya and more Islamist attacks on other American embassies on 9/11, Obama and Clinton apologized to Muslims for an obscure video on YouTube that portrays Mohammad in unflattering terms, even though the video had nothing to do with the reasons for the attacks.
Mohammed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt, allowed protesters to mob, threaten and vandalize our embassy there. And, according to Islam expert Robert R. Reilly, Morsi was recruited to the Muslim Brotherhood while he was a doctoral engineering student at the University of Southern California.
The Islamists and Marxists built their coalition with the common agenda of killing both Christianity and Judiaism. It’s an odd coalition because Marxists despise God and religion, while Islamists intend to impose their religion on everyone.
But the evidence is mounting. On April 4, the Catholic Archdiocese for the Military Services USA and the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty together announced they had uncovered a U.S. Army Reserve “Equal Opportunity” training brief that identifies “Evangelical Christianity” and “Catholicism” as examples of “religious extremism” along with al-Qaida, HAMAS and the Ku Klux Klan.
A slide from that training brief and its corresponding script reveals that in addition to grouping Catholics and Evangelical Christians with real terrorists, the Army Reserve added Islamist/Marxist propaganda by classifying “Islamophobia” as extremism.

While the hunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was still underway, the President of the Muslim Student Association at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth stepped forward to claim that he had tried to get Dzhokhar to join the MSA several times only to be turned down.
“We played soccer together weekly and I knew him fairly well,” he said. “If there’s one thing I can assure you it’s that this kid was NOT a Muslim. He did drugs, he drank alcohol, he didn’t want to help us when we were carrying out humanitarian relief efforts… he knew nothing of Islam.”
And yet, despite Dzhokhar supposedly not being a Muslim, the MSA president kept trying to get him to join. Even though Dzhokhar Tsarnaev described his worldview as Islam and claimed that he was acting to protect Islam, the MSA president could claim with a straight face that he was not a Muslim.
No one had contacted the Dartmouth MSA for comment, yet the MSA rushed out to get in front of the story by making two claims. The first claim was they had casually known Dzhokhar Tsarnaev from soccer games and the second claim was that he was not an MSA member and had nothing to do with the MSA.
By the time the media got around to interviewing the MSA Secretary, it was more of the same story. He had played soccer with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, had tried to get him to join the MSA and didn’t think of him as religious.
The Dartmouth MSA’s comments looked very much like damage control. Soccer was mentioned without context because the soccer games were MSA events. Dzhokhar’s participation in them meant that he had participated in MSA activities. The question was whether his MSA participation ended on the soccer field.
The humanitarian relief efforts were the MSA’s aid programs in the Syrian civil war between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Syrian government. As a Muslim Brotherhood front group, the MSA’s officers unsurprisingly stood on the side of the Brotherhood militias.
While supporting one terrorist campaign in Syria, the Dartmouth MSA was fiercely denying any role in another terrorist campaign in Boston.
“I would’ve loved for him to come to the MSA a few times so he can maybe understand his religion better,” Bassel Nasri, the Dartmouth MSA secretary, said on 60 Minutes. “Maybe that would, that would’ve helped in what happened, I would say.”
Considering the MSA’s track record, it would more likely have caused it. Many MSA members have gone on to careers in terrorism. The list of MSA presidents who went on to become Al Qaeda members alone is shocking.
Not only were co-founders of the MSA like Jamal Barzini, Hisham al-Talib and Ahmed Totanji involved in supporting terrorism, but the highest profile American Al Qaeda leader and the godfather of the modern “Lone Wolf” terrorist, Anwar Al-Awlaki, had been an MSA president.
Al-Awlaki wasn’t even the highest ranking Al Qaeda leader to have been an MSA president. That honor went to Wa’el Hamza Julaidan, a co-founder of Al Qaeda and MSA president at the University of Arizona. The highest profile MSA president to have gone down was MSA national President Abdurahman Alamoudi, currently serving out a 23-year prison sentence.
Both the national and the local Muslim Students Association groups had long histories of being involved in terrorism, of raising money for terrorists and of promoting terrorism. Nor was the Dartmouth MSA a moderate oasis in a sea of radicalism. Not only were the Dartmouth MSA officers taking sides in the religious war consuming Syria, but Charles C. Johnson found that the Dartmouth MSA “routinely advertises speeches and seminars taught by radical imams.”
One of those Imams, Suhaib Webb, was an associate of Anwar Al-Awlaki. Webb is the Imam of the Islamic Society of Boston. The founder of the ISB was the aforementioned Abdurahman Alamoudi. One of the ISB trustees was Sheikh Yusuf Al Qaradawi; the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. Webb is a member of the Muslim American Society, which Alamoudi admitted under oath was a front for the Muslim Brotherhood.
Webb had said that Jihad can be justified if the rights of Muslims are violated. Webb’s website posted a book review by Rashid al-Ghannushi of Sheikh Qaradawi’s “Fight of Jihad.”
Sheikh Qaradawi had come out in support of suicide bombings and said, disapprovingly, “It is unfortunate to hear that the grand imam has said it was not permissible to kill civilians in any country or state, even in Israel.” Qaradawi’s own position was that Israel is an invader and aggressor society and accordingly there are no such things as Israeli civilians.
Rashid al-Ghannushi had likewise said, “There are no civilians in Israel. The population- males, females, and children- are the army reserve soldiers, and thus can be killed.” Theologically what applied to Israel, could also easily apply to the United States. Qaradawi had issued his own fatwa declaring, “Those killed fighting the American forces are martyrs… those defending against attempts to control Islamic countries have the intention of jihad.”
The al-Ghannushi review on Webb’s website sneered at Muslims that want “to abolish jihad from the life of the ummah, spreading the spirit of submission and surrender, under the guise of various calls such as tolerance and peace.”
“Al-Qaradawi stresses, alongside classical and contemporary scholars, the consensus that jihad becomes obligatory upon every Muslim if a Muslim land is attacked, or Muslims suffer fitna (are prevented from freedom of faith).”
In the hospital, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev claimed that he was defending Islam from attack. Where could he have gotten that idea?
If we are to believe Muslim Brotherhood front groups like the MSA and MAS, then Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was “radicalized” by watching YouTube videos. But it is far more likely that he was indoctrinated with a Jihadist mission closer to home.
The MSA’s track record in turning out terrorist is indisputable. As are its links to Imams and Sheiks who preach Jihad. Maybe Dzhokhar Tsarnaev never did more than take part in MSA soccer games alongside MSA officers and did not absorb any of their views. Perhaps he never attended an MSA-sponsored lecture by an Imam or Sheik who discussed the finer points of which infidels you can kill. But considering the MSA’s murderous track record, it is far more likely that he did.
The Dartmouth MSA was eager to associate with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev when he was only a terrorist in training, but is now just as eager to write him off as a soccer buddy. But Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and the MSA shared more than an interest in soccer. They also shared an interest in Jihad.
Family Research Council spokesman discusses the criminalization of Christianity in the military Credit: Video: Fox News
In a stunning attack on the speech rights and free religious exercise of U.S. soldiers, the Obama administration has released a statement confirming the unthinkable: Any soldier who professes Christianity can now be court-martialed and may face imprisonment and a dishonorable discharge from the military…even if they are a military chaplain.
The statement released to Fox News earlier today:
Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense…Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis…
This statement follows a recent meeting between Pentagon officials and fanatical anti-Christian activist Mikey Weinstein, who helped design the new punishments for Christians who commit the now-criminal offense of sharing their faith with others.
Weinstein is the head of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and says Christians–including chaplains–sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the military are guilty of ‘treason,’ and of committing an act of ‘spiritual rape’ as serious a crime as ‘sexual assault.’ He also asserted that Christians sharing their faith in the military are ‘enemies of the Constitution.’
Never mind the fact that the separation of church and state is a myth that cannot be found anywhere in the Constitution (as I have explained before), or that it in no way violates anyone’s rights to have to witness or tolerate someone else exercising their faith…or that the only actual violation of the Constitution here is this tyrannical Atheist attack on the 1st Amendment.
**Update** Facing public outrage and the first open act of defiance by a high-ranking military leader over this, the Obama administration has done a complete 180 and now denies that any of it ever happened, despite multiple, separate confirmations from the Department of Defense that it did.
Suddenly, they are insisting that, contrary to all known definitions of the word, “proselytize,” all they had ever actually attempted to criminalize by making proselytizing a court-martial offense was coercion and abuses of power to force religion on others.
This is an interesting twist, especially considering that military chaplains operate outside the chain-of-command and have zero authority over soldiers..and that it is already illegal for those within the chain-of-command to discriminate or to force religion on anyone.
And for the record, there is no known reference material anywhere that defines proselytizing as anything more than to convert or attempt to convert. Coercive force has never been mentioned or even implied in any dictionary or by anyone in office until just now.
The bottom line: The Obama administration was caught trying to illegally shove a radical Atheist agenda down the throats of Christian soldiers, and the public backlash too politically costly for them to continue pursuing it. So now, it never happened.
The U.S. Army has further punished a highly respected and decorated officer in the wake of Muslim groups complaining about the approved course he taught on radical Islam at National Defense University.
In October, WND reported Lt. Col. Matthew Dooley was fired from his position at the school for the way he conducted a class on how to respond to a variety of scenarios instigated by radical Muslims. A visitor to the class found the discussions offensive to Muslims and informed some 57 Islamic organizations, which then complained to Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In addition to the firing, Gen. Dempsey promptly orchestrated a negative Officer Evaluation Report against Dooley that deeply tarnished a career that had received only sterling reviews from West Point through nearly 20 years in the service. Dempsey never discussed the incident with Dooley.
On Sunday, the Washington Times reported Dooley has been punished again, this time as he pursued the role of battalion commander. According to the Times, an Army command selection board studied Dooley’s record and candidacy for a command assignment. The five-member panel agreed to keep Dooley under consideration. Shortly thereafter, Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III, who at the time was Army vice chief and subsequently became head of U.S. Central Command, overruled the board in a brief memo. His actions could effectively spell the end of Dooley’s career.
“There was no reason given, and that’s also a very disturbing aspect of it,” said Richard Thompson, president of the Thomas More Law Center, who is representing Dooley in his original appeal of his firing and negative review. “The way they’re treating him now is not only a total miscarriage of justice on a personal level, but it also is really removing an effective combat leader from the Army, and it ultimately effects the national security of the United States.”
Thompson told WND he doesn’t believe this order originated with Gen. Austin. Instead, he believes Gen. Dempsey gave the order and Austin chose to follow so as not to impair his own career. However it happened, he said Lt. Col. Dooley is the victim of a dangerous policy.
“Instead of being loyal to the people that are loyal to you, they would rather throw Lt. Col. Dooley under the bus for their own advancement or to appease the Muslims, which ultimately could lead to the destruction of the United States internally. If we cannot accurately describe who the enemy is, how can we win a war?” asked Thompson.
Dooley’s appeal of his initial punishment is still processing through the military bureaucracy. Thompson said Dooley will file a federal suit to defend his constitutional rights if the Army appeal is denied.
