The British-born cleric preached extremist propaganda for years has finally been convicted of supporting the Islamic State

Influential Islamist hate preacher Anjem Choudary has been convicted of supporting the Islamic State. He will be sentenced on September 6 and faces up to 10 years in jail.
Choudary is the founder of the now-banned extremist group Al-Muhajiroun and was one of Britain’s most notorious Islamist clerics for many years.
He was interviewed by Clarion Project.
Along with co-defendant Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, 33, Choudary was convicted of supporting the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) in July, but details of the verdict were only just made public.
The pair reportedly exhorted their supporters to travel to Syria and pledge allegiance to ISIS in a series of YouTube videos.
Choudary also reportedly personally swore and oath of allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the self-proclaimed caliph of the Islamic State.
He is thought to have been linked to the terrorists who went on to carry out the 7/7 bombings in the UK and the man who beheaded army Drummer Lee Rigby
Security sources believe Choudary has links to as many as 500 British jihadis now fighting for the Islamic State, as reported by The Independent.
Choudary told Sky News before his conviction he was simply exercising his right to free speech.
“If you look at my speeches, I have said the same thing for 20 years. For me, it is a matter of worship,” he said.
“If people are implementing the sharia, then I cannot shy away from what the divine text says in relationship to that. If you cannot say when you believe in something and you cannot share that view, then you don’t really have freedom to express yourself in this country.”
His being put in prison is no reason to assume Choudary will cease to be a threat. In 2014, he said, “If they arrest me and put me in prison I will carry on in prison. I will radicalize everyone in prison.”
Ironically, after convicting Choudary, the UK allowed two more hate preachers to enter the country.
Pakistani clerics Muhammad Naqib ur Rehman and Hassan Haseeb ur Rehman are currently on a seven-week preaching tour of mosques in the UK. The pair was involved in the campaign to support Mumtaz Qadri, the man who assassinated the liberal governor of Punjab, Salman Taseer, in 2011 after Taseer suggested discussing amending the country’s blasphemy law.
Qadri was hailed as a martyr following his execution for murder earlier this year. Despite their involvement in the campaign to support Qadri, the clerics were allowed into the UK and Muhammad Naqib ur Rehman was even welcomed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the highest ranking priest in the Church of England, which has some 80 million followers worldwide.

A sex attacker targeted Muslims in hijabs because he “had a fetish” for women wearing the traditional Islamic clothing.
Scotland Yard launched a manhunt for Emmanuel Ndegwe, 25, after he followed Somali women and broke into their homes before attacking them.
In one attack he stalked a woman for a year and then knocked her to the ground and tried to rip off her clothes as she fought back in front of her horrified children. He also kicked and punched her.
The Standard today reveals the shocking details of the case, which will be aired on BBC documentary The Met tonight.
Ndegwe was jailed for six years in March after Detective Inspector Tracey Miller hunted him down in a “personal mission” after being horrified by the suffering of his victims.
She read one report about an attack and immediately linked it to a strikingly similar one she had read previously.

She told the Standard: “The victim descriptions were identical, the suspect descriptions were identical and so were the methods and my first feeling was it was the same guy. And when I plotted their addresses on the map, they were only hundreds of yards apart.
“With certain other offences, you get less emotion involved, because they have less victim impact. But equally it still feels you’ve been out hunting and found your target and now he’s in custody, so you get a real sense of achievement and satisfaction. You take it as a personal mission.
“From my perspective, it felt he had ‘a thing’ about women wearing traditional Islamic clothing. I strongly suspect that he had a fetish. We found a lot of pornography on his phone and quite a lot of that was Somali women.”
She also revealed that without CCTV she would not have been able to track down the predator in just 18 days.
After one woman came forward police traced Ndegwe’s movements on cameras near the scene of the attack on her, watching him go into a Ladbrokes betting shop.
They got a close-up of his face and circulated it to all betting shops within a close radius, and one recognised him.
Ndegwe “shoulder surfed” his victims, following them to their front door and slipping in behind before violently trying to force them into submission.
In one attack a woman’s children stood by screaming while in another he forced himself on a carer in front of the 89-year-old woman she was pushing in a wheelchair.
DI Miller said the victims “were utterly terrified and in utter, utter fear. One didn’t know if he wanted to rape her or kill her. And another lady he stalked for over a year.
“For me it was probably one of my best investigations, one I’m most proud of in terms of the impact, crime preventions and reassuring his victims he’s now in prison.”
Ndegwe pleaded guilty to two counts of trespass with intent to commit a sexual act and one count of stalking.
The counts related to two victims, but police believe there could be more. At least one other woman has come forward but there is currently not enough evidence to charge him. Police are calling for any other victims to call them on the 101 line.
The Met documentary, to be aired on BBC1 at 9pm tonight, also reveals it costs Scotland Yard £6.2million to police Notting Hill Carnival. It reveals 13,000 officers work over the weekend attended by 1.5million party-goers.
Residents tell of a “nightmare” in which people urinate, vomit and commit crime in the streets, including stabbings.
Sheila Robertson, who has lived there since the 1960s, tells the programme: “The main thing is the volume [of the music] and the fact no one seems to take any notice of us.
“A little old lady in a housing association, dying of terminal cancer, she came out and begged them to be quiet, and they said ‘f*** off, we do what we like’.
“And that’s how we feel about carnival now. It does nothing for residents. And it’s not about race – the white trash is as trashy as you ever, ever set eyes on.”

We will be monitoring closely to see if Anjem Choudary now calls for the execution of these Muslim women that were raped. After all, according to the tenets and mandates of Sharia law, the same sharia law that Anjem Choudary is attempting to force on the UK, these Muslim women committed the crime of ‘Adultery.’ (ie.) They had sexual-relations with a man outside of wedlock.
Will Anjem Choudary be consistent and hold these Muslim women to the same standards of punishment that he is seeking to impose on the Western indigenous women (or) will he be a hypocrite and allow for a ‘double standard?’
I guess we will see…
